52 days, 18 hours…but who is counting?

Spring is coming! Hallelujah. This morning we took a trip to the Flower Exchange and got a much-needed reminder that flowers are still blooming somewhere! We just need to get through 52 more days of winter. How do we do that?

We asked some of our lovely, local customers just this question…
How do you get through the Winter Blahs?

“I try out new winter inspired recipes like a hearty stew or big pasta dish. Then I cozy up under a blankey and watch corny tv. 😂”

“A good work out and a warm cup of soup and always making sure I have something to look forward too!”

“A good yoga class at North End Yoga. It might take effort to get myself there, but once I’m there I feel so much better about everything!”

“Light. Hot cocoa with whipped cream. A bunch of flowers. A walk. Sunshine. Good music.”

“Exercise. Getting to the gym nearly kills me but leaving the gym after a great workout is absolutely the greatest feeling. Nothing like some good old fashion retail therapy. Often in winter I paint a room, pick up a project like glazing a table or something to make me feel like my house is looking more fresh. Fresh flowers, bulbs growing in my kitchen, lots of gin and tonic’s and pretending it is spring time. Getting a new tv series will take my mind off how much I don’t love the winter!”

“Warm baths with lush bath bombs. A man in my bed.”

Ok, well that’s our Pg-13 version of what might help:)

You can always come in and try our new line of @soymuchbrighter candles and new diffusers from @notedcandles…the lovely scent will bring some much needed warmth to any room!

Season’s Greetings Everyone!!!

Excited for all things fall!

Happy day before Halloween everybody! So we’ve all put our summer clothes away, and taken them out again, and put them away…and taken them out AGAIN….This time it seems like maybe we are putting summer to bed and fall is actually happening so we’ve brought out our cozys at the shop.

Fall also brings with it our new line of dog collars, leashes and bandanas. We’re super excited to partner with Found My Animal. Check out these awesome products that help promote animal adoption.

What’s hot at Loft & Vine? Our pretty cotton napkins, sweet stamped silver rings from Anantara, hand-painted wood signs from local artist Rustique Hand, delicious soups (and SALTS!) from Salt Sisters and new fall soaps and moisturizing balms from Etta & Billie! So stop by, say hi and check out all our new fun fall products!

A few of our favorite things…

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens ; bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens  – Yes! Indeed these are fantastic things. But have you seen the cards we’re selling by the AMAZING Katie Elizabeth Lettering & Design??? We are obsessed! Fun, colorful and a guaranteed chuckle.

Speaking of crazy obsessions…check out my best friends turquoise jewelry handmade in Tucson. I met Suzy, founder of High & Dry Jewelry Design years ago when we both worked at the Pike Place Market in Seattle. Always interested in jewelry design, Suzy has grown into an amazing silversmith showcasing her talents across the country.

What else makes us go bonkers? Well, our Bee Kind tanks & tees from Henrietta’s Garden  have made quite a sting this season. Seems like everyone is in the mood to spread a little kindness. (Sweatshirts might be a fun fall item, don’t ya think?)

What better way to preserve those summertime feels than putting them on display? When California artist Morgan Hartley is not riding the waves she’s capturing them in her beautiful photography. Her prints will come in handy during those occasional gloomy winter days New England is famous for!

So what’s fall bringing to 26 Prince Street other than apple cider and wooly sweaters? So much fun! Hand-dyed dog leashes, cute and creative ornaments and decadent chocolates. Yep, and so much more. Come by and see what we have in store!

Summertime is flying!

Where has the time gone? It seems crazy that Loft & Vine has already been open for 2 months. We’ve been having a great time meeting locals living in the North End and other parts of Boston. Not to mention the tourists that flood Hanover Street (for those of you who have not visited the North End, it truly is a FLOOD of tourists).

Although I wish summer could stay around a little longer, our indoor seed kits are ready to go on sale.  All of our seed kits that we sell from Urban Agriculture and Modern Sprout are 20% off.

Don’t forget we have the Urban Agriculture Cocktail Kits…on sale now as well. These are the perfect gift for the cocktail lover in your life.

Outdoor fun can go on throughout September/October here in New England so how about one of these classic summer games… Croquet or Bocce? These guys are 25% and make for a creative gift!

So, enjoy the lazy, hazy days of July and August…and hopefully we get a nice, warm September. We’re busy here looking for exciting new treats for Loft & Vine. And as always, if you have any suggestions about what you’d like us to carry, please email us today!
