Holiday Gift Guide - Part 1

Holiday Gift Guide - Part 1

The holiday season is around the corner, and it seems like all of Boston is hustling and bustling from now through the end of the year. Work gets crazy (and we can’t start saying “let’s punt this conversation to 2024” just yet). Everyone is travelling around to see family, and then to top it all off, it’s time for GIFT SHOPPING!

Finding gifts for friends and family is one of my favorite parts about the holiday season, but there is always a person or two on my list that is just hard to shop for. In those instances, gift guides have been really helpful. And that is what we have here… from Barbie Girls to Boston Bros, we’ve got you covered!

For the Barbie Girl

We’d be lying if we said we weren’t still in our Barbie era…

• Barbie Tree Ornaments

• Barbie & Ken Prayer Candles

• Barbie Vinyl Stickers

• Pink Scalloped Hoop Earrings

• Pink Bracelets

• Barbie Hotel Style Keychain

• Tiana NYC Pink Beaded Bag

For the Swiftie

Unless you’re living somewhere disconnected from mainstream society, you probably have a Swiftie (or several) in your life. And if you’re being totally honest with yourself, you probably are one too ;)

• TS Hotel Style Keychain

• TS Vinyl Stickers

• “I’m the problem, it’s me” Keychain

• “Tis The Damn Season” Card’

For the Self–Growth Guru

New year, new me! Even though most of us say that and then forget our resolutions by February, it’s still worth a shot. These gifts are perfect for your friends and family who want to start off 2024 more zen, mindful & grounded. We wish them luck!

• “Feel Good” Journal Prompt Cards

• “A Little Bit of Mindfulness” Book

• Mineral Hearts

For the Boston Babe

There truly is nowhere like Boston in the wintertime, and who wouldn’t love some gifts that commemorate this time of year in our favorite city (made by local artists)? Margie M. Michals has some beautiful watercolor Boston scenes, and we also love the Boston inspired prints by Ashley Eisenman Art!

Neighborhood Charm

Neighborhood Charm

If you’ve been to Loft & Vine, then you’ve been to the North End! Most of the Loft & Vine crew live in the neighborhood, some longer than others but we all love to call it home.

While it has only been a year since I moved to the North End, I feel right at home here. I grew up in an Italian-American family that eats pasta every Sunday, and experiencing things like the Feasts this August has made me feel closer to my heritage.

Beyond the initial things that drew me (the walkability, the Italian history, the food!!!), I quickly came to love how much of a community there is here. Running into friends (fellow post-grad North End transplants) on the corner while also meeting residents in local businesses, churches, and cafés that have lived here for decades has been a really special experience.

I’ve run into Loft & Vine on several occasions to pick out gifts for friends who are new to the neighborhood, as well as coworkers who lived here years ago that have since moved to the suburbs and ask me to share stories so that they can live “vicariously”. My go-to gift has been the North End Stemless Wine Glass, which also comes in a Boston variation as well as in Champagne Flutes. I’ve also had my eye on the Apolis North End and Boston tote bags, they are really cute and are perfect for a day of running errands! The shop also has a great selection of coasters, keychains, ornaments and other needle-point “Entering North End” products from Smathers & Branson.

Whether a visitor is shopping for a souvenir or a current resident is looking for an 02113 keychain to bring to their home a few doors down, there is a little piece of neighborhood charm for everyone at Loft & Vine!

Ciao,

Blog Takeover!

Blog Takeover!

June 2023

If you know Loft & Vine, you know Sarah. And if you know Sarah, you know that her shop is amazing, and that she is crazy busy! Too busy for some things, like blogging.

Annnnnddd that’s where I come in- Hi! I’m Lindsay. Consider me your resident North End girl-next-door (…. to Loft & Vine, like literally). Living in the best area of Boston (Me? Bias? Never….) means being lucky enough to be steps away from amazing shops, restaurants, and bakeries. I love it, but my wallet? Not so much.

Outside of my normal day job, (LinkedIn here, not wasting airtime) I’ve been doing product photography for Sarah. If you poke around on the site, you’ll see some photos of the shop’s great selection. Poke around long enough, and odds are you’ll also buy something. So keep on keepin’ on!! And come back here soon where we’ll be sharing lots more about Loft & Vine and life in the North End!

Ciao, LT + L&V

Hello 2021!

Hello 2021!

Well it's been a minute since I've written a blog. The holidays were kind of a blur, and now we're in 2021. Thank goodness. I have to say this 'not hugging' our family, 'not hanging out' with our friends has taken its toll. Yes, of course, being safe is most important...but man this is hard.

Luckily my roommate Mike and I have been getting along pretty well considering we have been together non-stop for almost 1 year straight. We are not the couple that usually does everything together. We really enjoy time apart. Mike used to travel a lot for work...and he loved it and so did I! He would travel to fun places and get time away from my wacky personality and I would get to just chill and be alone. Heaven. So now there is none of that. But I think we've actually done really well. He has been doing more housework (I found the trick is not to ask!) and I am trying to cook more and give him his space:) So all in all, we feel pretty blessed to have each other.

On to shop news...there really isn't any yet:( On my cherished walks with Peg and Cindy I've seen spots in the North End and Beacon Hill and think, yes it's time to re-open. But then I realize it's not time yet for us. We really want to make the best decision on location. We want a little bigger spot with great windows so we can have more plants. But the online shop has been chugging along, thanks to you for your support! We so appreciate you all!

So, for now, we are excited to have new products coming in daily! We have a new candle line from Slow North, a new hair accessories line from Nat & Noor, a new kids line from Gladfolk and we're so excited to get our new planters in from Gray Green Goods.

So here's to spring 2021! I see the light; I hope you can as well!

Welcome

Welcome

Well it's been a whirlwind! Let's see, we closed our brick and mortar shop on July 26th and WOW did you all come out to support us! It was so fun to see everyone. Yes, closing is bittersweet, but we are planning on coming back sometime in 2021. A different spot, hopefully a larger one in the North End. As much as we loved our little 26 Prince Street location (and man did we love it!) we would love to have more space for plants and maybe even some funky furniture. Wouldn't that be fun?

For now we are placing orders and getting excited to show you our new products. Please remember that we need your help to keep this little "shop" alive so please keep us in mind if you need to buy a gift or even just treat yourself! Delivery to the North End, West End, Charlestown, and the Seaport is FREE! We also will ship anywhere in the U.S.

Thanks for checking out our new site! Zephyr and I miss you all!

xo

Sarah
